車用晶片短缺,美、日、德政府紛紛向台灣求援,台積電、聯電急撥產能,以「超級急件」(super hot run)生產車用晶片之際,傳出國際車用晶片廠為求取得更多貨源,對晶圓代工廠提出再加價25%至30%的條件。這將使得第2季晶圓代工報價漲勢再擴大。
對於車用客戶加價搶產能,台積電(2330)昨(1)日強調,公司致力提供客戶價值,不評論價格問題。聯電則說,目前首要是設法挪出產能。
現階段晶圓代工產能嚴重不足,先前已傳出台積電等代工廠車用晶片漲價15%。如今國際車用晶片大廠祭出「加價搶量」策略,價格再調高25%至30%,代工廠應接不暇。
有晶圓廠員工員工私下透露,很久沒遇到「超級急件」的狀況,這次還是過年前發生,工廠「忙翻天」,很多同事過年只有休除夕一天。
業界人士透露,目前要插隊卡位產能是「難上加難」,但現正處於第2季晶圓代工產能溝通期,車用業者加價,「再度拉高市場行情」,在價高者得的商業機制與政治壓力下,第2季晶圓代工價格預料將再進一步調升,並出現更大的產能排擠效應。
業界人士表示,面對產能滿載之際,國際車廠也只能加價搶產能,主因「超級急件」這種需要臨時插單的狀況,勢必影響台積電已經接單生產的其他類晶片,可說是牽一髮而動全身,因此大多數晶圓代工業者不會輕易這麼做,因為同時伴隨著降低生產機台的效能、良率下降,還會墊高生產成本,所以客戶通常要加很多錢,才能讓晶圓代工廠點頭。
業界人士進一步分析,即使加價,還是得等三個月,因為在產能滿載的狀況之下,未來三個月生產排程早就確定,甚至未來半年的排程都規畫好了,所以車用晶片最快也要三個月後才能開始正常量產。
據悉,美國政府官員將在2月5日與台灣經濟部長及台積電等台灣半導體廠主管開會、商討車用晶片供應事宜。
