有關申請美國專利 - 專利

各位好，在此要幫友人問個新手/英文問題。

我友人的父親在台灣申請了一項商標證明後，
他父親希望略懂英文的友人幫他申請美國商標。

友人到USPTO上申請證明。
不過等英文證明寄回台灣後，他父親發現少申請一類裡的一項。
完全不懂美國商標的他不確定要如何重新申請，
寫了信問當初批准的律師詢問，他大意是問:
只要重新申請那一項?還是重新申請完整一份?

律師回:
Each application only covers the goods and/or services that are applied for
in connection with that specific application.

However, applications filed by the same owner are associated by common
ownership.

For example, one person may be the owner of multiple applications.
And each of those applications would likely be for different goods/and or services.
Identification of goods and/or services may be amended to clarify or limit
the goods and/or services, adding to the goods and/or services or broadening
the scope of the goods and/or services is not permitted. 37 C.F.R. §2.71(a);
TMEP §1402.06.
An applicant may not amend the identification to include
goods and/or services that are not within the scope of the goods and/or
services set forth in the present identification.

友人對專業回應還是不太了解，
所以想請各位幫忙，
請問他是需要申請一份包含所有goods and services?
還是說他只需要申請想要的那一項?
