也一如預期，基準原油期貨價格一度每桶飆漲11.73美元，來到71.95美元，這是自1988年
期貨開始交易以來，以美元計算的最大漲幅。
葉門叛軍組織「青年運動」聲稱，發動10架無人機，對沙國國家阿美石油公司（Saudi
Aramco）的兩處煉油設施攻擊引發大火，雖然火勢即時控制，但也造成原油生產中斷。沙
國每日被迫減產570萬桶原油，相當全球供應量的5％。根據CNBC報導，阿美石油公司的目
標是在周一恢復約三分之一的原油產量，即200萬桶。
對石油市場來說，這是史上最嚴重的石油中斷，超越1990年8月海珊進攻科威特、及伊朗
1979伊斯蘭政變時的損失。美國總統川普表示，他正授權準備釋出戰備儲油，以保持市場
「供應充足」。沙國能源部長阿卜杜拉齊茲親王也表示，沙烏地將動用龐大的石油儲備來
彌補產油中斷。
