: 我的想法:不知道為什麼這題答案會是直接用800/0.04=20000
: 4%似乎是實質利率？12%-8%=4%

還沒看過 Varian 這部份的內文與習題
但小弟對於此題目的直覺是：

享受持有古董一年樂趣所願意花的錢 = 直接買進古董並於一年後出售其此期之機會成本

等號右邊就是把錢省下來拿去存的利息所得減去古董的增值，X * 12% - X * 8%

故，800 = X * (12%-8%)

X = 20,000 (dollars)
