英國發現迪皮質醇為第一個能治療新冠肺炎的藥物 - 股票

A cheap and widely available drug called dexamethasone can help save the lives

of patients who are seriously ill with coronavirus.

UK experts say the low-dose steroid treatment is a major breakthrough in the

fight against the deadly virus.

It cut the risk of death by a third for patients on ventilators. For those on

oxygen, it cut deaths by a fifth.

The drug is part of the world's biggest trial testing existing treatments to

see if they also work for coronavirus.

Researchers estimate that if the drug had been available in the UK from the

start of the coronavirus pandemic up to 5,000 lives could

have been saved. Because it is cheap, it could also be of huge benefit in poor countries struggling with high numbers of Covid-19 patients.

到衛生署的網站查了一下該藥品，是人工合成的皮質類固醇，國內蠻多家都可以生產，並且也被非常廣泛運用，可用於：
支氣管氣喘、風濕性關節炎、重症皮膚疾患、火傷、咽喉炎、蕁麻疹、中耳炎等類型疾病。
有生產的藥廠大約查了一下：人生製藥、南光等。

雖然不能完全治癒新冠肺炎，但至少是個可行的方法。看來歐美全面解封不遠了？
