Enrollments at U.S. for-profit colleges have taken a hit

after a government crackdown on high levels of student

debt forced colleges to tighten admission standards or

risk losing federal aid.

DeVry was one of the last companies in the industry to

change its practices to comply with new regulations.

The rebound in enrollments at the company is

therefore likely to trail those at its peers.

大意是說, 請各位學店們自己好自為之.
不要再亂收學生了. 連不識字的都可以畢業.實在很扯.
政府沒錢給那些人去學校浪費四年時間.最後出來又找不到工作.
就把學貸給倒帳了.

這是兩年前很多人開始注意的學貸風暴.
欠學貸不還的人實在太多了.

在美國想唸大學,只要認真點,不少人都是唸免錢的.加上還有零用錢拿.
舉例來說,工作被雷了.只要跑去學校修學位.政府每週有$450的失業金補貼,
學費也有聯邦或是州的獎學金及學貸去支付.

教育股賺了十年了,該是吐出來的時候.
