有市場傳聞,全球晶圓代工龍頭台積電已經接到蘋果生產新一代iPhone 處理器A15晶片的
訂單,預計採用5奈米製程生產,可望如期在9月的秋季發表會後出貨,去年受到疫情影響
的產能推遲情況預計將消失。資深半導體分析師陸行之在臉書表示,預計是台積電5奈米
Plus,然後還有消息是明年A16預計採用台積電4奈米製程,那3奈米製程客戶去哪了?
陸行之表示,感覺A15 5月底投產,8月大量產出好像有點太晚了,那台積電如何補足5、6
月的營收短缺?AMD、Nvidia、車用晶片展望都不错,若想要維持財測,台積電必須2個月
都維持成長11%。
陸行之指出,Apple A15應該是採用台積電5奈米Plus,如果跟A14一樣採用5奈米製程,
那就上一代手機沒差別,消費者又不是白癡,沒必要換手機。從台積電年報說明,5奈米
製程在去年開始量產後,5奈米FinFET強效版(N5P)於2020年底獲得多個客戶產品投片,
並預計2021年進行N5P技術量產。相較於N7,N5P技術速度增快約20%,或功耗降低約40%。
陸行之分析,由於報導指出明年蘋果A16採用的會是台積電5奈米製程家族延續的4奈米製
程,過去都是蘋果與華為搶產能,Apple占80%,華為旗下海思半導體約占20%,海思在
2019年之後沒了,AMD預計明年推出5奈米製程的 Genoa,Nvidia目前還沒有3奈米計畫,
高通不忠誠,是轉來轉去的客戶。
那台積電3奈米製程量產速度要如何追上5/7奈米製程,之前台積電說明會更比預期快推出
,陸行之推測,難道是那個要在美國亞利桑那州投入200億美元擴產的英特爾,預計2023
年上半年要推出7奈米製程的數據中心處理器Granite Rapids,還是搭載在PC的第一代英
特爾7奈米製程處理器Meteor Lake ?或是英特爾在7奈米製程透過小晶片(chiplet)封裝
技術加上幾顆台積電3奈米製程大核心?
台積電3奈米製程將繼續採用FinFET,該技術領先全球,並針對行動通訊與高效能運算應
用提供優化的製程,預期2022年將獲得多個客戶投片,並於當年度下半年量產。
競爭對手三星電子預計在3奈米製程就採用環繞閘極技術(Gate-All-Around,GAA),但同
台積電所述,該公司在FinFET架構擁有優於業界的技術,在過去的製程技術上,電晶體密
度、鰭片間距(FinPitch)表現上也更優秀,讓台積電可以更有效控制成本,協助在3奈米
製程有機會繼續勝過三星。
