問題:Suppose a regulated utility faces the following demand curve:

Demand Off-peak: P = 50-Q ; Demand Peak: P = 110-Q ; MC = 20+0.5Q

(1) What are the socially optimal peak and off-peak prices?

(2) Suppose the regulatory commission sets P = 40 during both peak and

off-peak periods. What is the social cost (or social deadweight loss)

of such a pricing policy?

我的想法:尖離峰訂價不是因為時段的成本不同而訂價的嗎？

題目只有給一個邊際成本 要怎麼算才好呢？

第二題的DWL是要如何算才好呢？比較其跟完全競爭市場下的CS和PS的差異嗎？

翻了好幾本書 概念都算了解 但看到題目真的不知道該怎麼辦
