根據當時的資料 原文如下:
The Great Depression began with the stock market crash of October 24, 1929.
By 1932, the Dow Jones industrial average had fallen 89% from its peak in 1929.
In addition, shortly before the stock market crash, the Federal Reseve
increased interest rates in an attempt to control inflation. It then increased
interest again in early 1931.

從當時資料來看 Fed升息兩次 一次1929股市崩盤前 一次1931年
1929年股市崩盤前 當時投機風氣盛行 央行升息抑制投機風潮可以理解

但是在1931年時 我們可以看到資料當時甚至是deflation, CPI消費物價指數越來越低
且失業率越來越高 央行實在沒有理由升息啊

且後來的歷史是 1931年後幾乎十年的經濟不景氣 一決不振
因此我想請問一下版上的大大 有誰知道央行升息的箇中原因的嗎?
